Tomas Slavik winning run, Downmall Tour Prague

The most expected stop of Downmall Tour is always final round round in Prague. Its longest track there, biggest crowd, fastest riders and of course DOUBLE points! Shopping mall was exploding and atmosphere was amazing! In the final run it was Tomas Slavik who was the only guy to get under 40 seconds mark and he took a big win! Because of double points Slavik took also overall championship win even with missing first round in Ger...many! What a day!

" Sometimes the mall racing can get a bit same and kind of stereotype racing, but when it comes to Prague its whole another different story. I was looking forward to race in front of my home crowd basically from the beginning of the Tour and racing in Czech Republic is just something I dont get very often in season. So Im really enjoying every second out there meeting my friends, family and fans. The track was really fast, physical and reeeally slippery. That was the facts which made the finals looking really wild, riders were doing mistakes, crashing and it was difficult to make a good run. Even I made a big mistake in first turn, but then rest of the track was just perfect and I was the only one out there to get under 40 seconds which made me really happy, because this guys are reaaaally fast! Cherry on top was that because of double points I took also the overall championship title even with missing the first round in Germany. Super happy about how all things went down and cant wait for another Downmall Tour. Thank you everyone for cheering and pushing us to the finish line! "

Tomas is now getting ready for Crankworx World Tour starting in 2 week in New Zealand. Tomas will be taking part in 4 different events trying to carry as many points as possible for the overall KING OF CRANKWORX. He will be racing in Dual Slalom, Air DH, Pumptrack a Speed n Style. What a comeback – Felix Beckeman (Team RSP)

What a race comeback!

Felix Beckeman:    2015 was full of injuries, first a collapsed left foot and then two surgeries on my left shoulder was the main things that kept me out of racing last season. Now we have finished the first 4X race of 2016, over a year since last 4X race..

Coming in to this first race was very nervous, "don´t know if the changes to the training program will do the job, how fast will all the other guys be, will I still be as fast as I feel?" was just a few of the questions that was circulate in my head. But right after the qualification it showed right away that we have done our homework. Qualified 4th which was more then I could ever expect in this super stacked field of worlds top racers. It was a big relief and that made my weekend a lot easier coming in to the finals the day after.
Finals went very well, Winning all my heats to semi finals, me and my teammate Tomas took 1st and 2nd and we went straight to big final. The big final showed the great show as 4X racing brings. I took the lead after turn one, leading the full track till second last corner and I made a small mistake that let Tomas Slavik to make a "bar to bar" pass on me, not a very easy move. We both stayed on two wheels and I finished 2nd. More then super happy! RSP Mountainbike Team was dominating the first round of 4X Pro Tour, now we looking forward to next round in Fort Williams - Scotland, first weekend of Juni. Stay tuned!
What a comeback after being out of one year of racing, very proud of my team and my self.
