Crankworx Dual Slalom: Marosi 4th, Slavik 5th

'Next stop for a small part of R.S.P. Mountainbike Team was bikefestival Kokanee Crankworx situated in Whistler, Canada. The best riders from all over the world, huge crowd and lots of events - Whistler is just all about mountainbiking.
First event for me and Marosi was the dual slalom. During the training and qualification we were just just rocking! We were flying on the technical track. I took 1st place during qualifications and Marosi was 3rd.
We were ready for the race and so was the massive crowd! Dual slalom is always about making a small mistake or being flawless. Because a little error can cost a lot of time. Untill I met Mitch Ropelato I was riding without any mistakes. But then I hit the gate in the first heat and the American won (as he did in the big final as well).
Marosi made the top 4, where he was racing against Mick Hannah. But Marosi crashed pretty hard at the bottom of the track and we were all happy that he got away with only small injuries. Racing was over however. Marosi took 4th place, I was 5th.
